She that dreams has built a nation
Her ideas the pillars and foundation
Lodged in the crevice of her imagination
She that dreams is the engine of transformation

She that dreams has dared to touch a heart
Her words the carriage that draws the cart
Enabling others to draw their art
She that dreams can make the water part

My dear Ethiopian girl and woman
Aspire to be that ‘she’ that dreams
To reach her highest height and omen
She that through her hands can hold back streams
And through her commitment to life become supreme
Be that ‘She’ that can hold and fulfill an Ethiopian dream
